Big Top hire

Construction
The 10m high rig comprises 2 trilite towers made from specially tested aircraft aluminium designed to take a moving human load.
The cross is made of heavy duty, structural trilite and is raised to its height with pulleys. The whole structure is tested to take moving weights of 2 tonnes (a safe working load of over 7:1).
All the span sets, shackles and pulleys used in the rig have test certificates and load ratings on them.
The rig is tensioned using steel cables and 0.5 /1m long steel pins which are inserted into the ground at the correct angle. 8 cables anchor the rig to allow for twice the safety i.e. 4 would suffice.
The tent canvas is tested to the latest European safety standards and is raised and tensioned once the rig is erected. The tent has a full tent book with method statements and certification.

In 2008 Swamp Circus Theatre became the proud owner of a Big Top - our "Chapiteau" (she's from France) Available as a twin pole 32m x 24m or as a single pole 24m x 24m. Full interior black out - ideal for theatrical performance. Just ask us for more details!
