current community circus projects
Swamp Circus Trust runs community circus projects designed to address areas of social need for people of all ages and abilities. The excitement of circus makes it perfect for engaging people in new activities and hobbies.

- Community Leadership and Creative Arts Programme: Fully accredited course teaching circus, performance and leadership skills.
- Young People's Participatory Theatre Project: Youth Circus groups planned for Rotherham, York and Nottingham.
- National Youth Volunteering Programme: Explore accredited and casual volunteering opportunities at Swamp Trust.
- Eastern Steel: Through research and improvisation participants will look into the experiences of the Asian community of Rotherham and Sheffield as they came to work in the steel industry. Participants will interview former steel workers, visit libraries and Clifton Park museum as part of the research process and attend circus skills workshops to learn performance skills and devise a performance based on their findings. The show will then be performed at local festivals.

To run our projects we work as partners with schools and community organisations. All of our projects are flexible and will be fitted around your timetable.
