Sue Fee

Sue Fee delivers our workshops, works at the office on entertainment enquiries and performs on stilts and in the air. Sue writes: I have been involved with circus since travelling the world in 2000. My first performances were as a living statue and as a fire spinner in Australia. When I returned to the UK I joined Greentop Circus' "Circus in Performance" course where I learnt stilt walking, wire walking, trapeze, acrobalance and manipulation. This course culminated in a show where I walked on the tightwire, performed trapeze and acrobalance. Since then I have concentrated mainly on stilt walking, costume making, aerial performance and teaching circus skills. I have been self employed as a circus performer and tutor since 2005. Recently I completed an HND in Fashion at the Sheffield College and am enjoying using these skills in my costume making whenever I can! I currently work as a tutor, performer and costume maker for Swamp Circus Trust Ltd, South Yorkshire. I am continuing to practice and perform my aerial circus skills: silks, corde lisse, static and swinging trapeze. Why? Because the world IS a better place when you're upside down! Sue is at sue@swamptrust.org.uk

Peter Hurley

Peter has joined Swamp as a Community Project Manager. He has many years experience of working in the Voluntary, Community & Faith Sectors in South Yorkshire, developing and managing a variety of projects. While he wasn’t looking, his inner Clown escaped and is causing mayhem up and down the region. Whilst desperately trying to beat the Clown back with a spreadsheet and a couple of monitoring forms he is busy organising circus workshops. At Swamp, Peter is responsible for the 'Kids Can Do: Positive Activities for Young People Programme' in Sheffield which offers free circus skills workshops to groups of young people aged 8 to 13. You can contact him by emailing peter@swamptrust.org.uk
